ideal base for self-catering holidays in Devon especially for those who like to explore
the cliffs, beaches, moors and other attractions of north Devon, south Devon and
Cornwall.
hy not come and discover the beauty of Devon by taking a holiday at Higher Sellick
Farm. Originally a small-scale dairy farm, we are a non-working farm with an 18th
century Devon longhouse where the owners live. We have two traditional Devon stone-built
barns that have been tastefully converted into self catering holiday cottage accommodation.
One barn was the Granary, used to store the grain to feed the cattle in winter, and
now converted into two charming holiday cottages, "Primrose Cottage" and "Poppy Cottage".
uddleduck Cottage looks out over the duck pond to the rolling fields beyond. It was
originally what is known locally as a Linhay - a single storey stone built barn in
which wagons and hay were stored. There is also a large covered yard which housed
the cattle in winter, and where we now have a huge sandpit for the children. We still
have 11 acres of pasture which are leased out to a local farmer who usually keeps
sheep and beef cattle.
